When typing in this command (without the drive letter colon):
sdelete64.exe -z c
The error has a very confusing colon placement:
Error opening disk c:
The system cannot find the file specified.

Julian 21 Reputation points2021-10-06T10:06:54.02+00:00 I found I had to set -c above 0 in order to get it to work. Try:
sdelete64.exe -p 7 -z -c 1 "C"
-p = number of passes
-z = zero drive (good for virtualisation, apparently)
-c = percentage of drive to leave free. For some reason I needed this greater than 0.I'm not sure if the drive letter needs to be in double-quotes but it helps when specifying a path so I figured there was nothing to lose.
