Hi, we have the following MECM site hierarchy - one primary site and two secondary sites. One secondary site DP is used by clients in two cities, one of which is remote (Belgrade) hence we are having difficulties during OSD which can take more than 1h to complete. Idea is to deploy new DP in secondary site which would be assigned to given boundary group (Belgrade). I am interested in installation guide - previously did installation of new DP in primary site but never in secondary site. Thanks in advance.

The procedure still the same even you install DP role on a standalone server or on the secondary site, make sure that your boundaries and boundary groups are correctly configured.

Ok, so pretty much same procedure as for new DP in primary site - just here I select secondary site first and then Create Site System Server.
What about ports to open between new DP in secondary site and MP/DP & proxy MP/DP systems in primary/secondary sites respectively (in both directions of course)?

By default, communication between the site server and site systems is bi-directional. The site server starts communication to configure the site system, and then most site systems connect back to the site server to send status information.
DP and MP roles within a secondary site do not directly connect back to site roles in the primary site. They connect to the secondary site server just like roles in the primary site connect to the primary site server. The secondary site server more or less proxies the communication between the DP and MP in the secondary site to the primary site server.
Keep in mind though that a secondary site is not a gateway for clients. Clients must be able to communicate with an MP from the primary site in addition to the MP on the secondary site server.
