RDP connection problem to PIN secured laptop

I have a new Win10 Pro laptop that I want to connect to via RDP from a Win10 Pro Desktop. The laptop is Windows Hello PIN and fingerprint secured. When I try to logon to the laptop with RDC, I get a "logon failed" error message. I thought I had perhaps forgotten my password, so I carefully reset it and I get the same result. I am able to connect in the reverse direction with no problem. I set up a new administrator account on the laptop and tried to RDP in with the credentials from that account and was able to connect as a different user. The problem is that now I will have to set up email and all of my other program accounts all over again. Both Computers use the same Outlook account and password as their user ID. Since it worked with a new user without a Microsoft account, the problem appears to be related to using the Microsoft Outlook user ID. How can I access this laptop? Is there a way to RDP in using the PIN for the laptop instead of the password? I also tried this with NoMachine another Remote Desktop client with the same result. Can anyone help?

    Even if you have the pin on your Desktop.
    I hava e home network, my PC is not joined to a domain and the following works.

    PCName\OnlineAccount (homepc\jeff.b333@harsh.com .com) and then use your normal password.

    Hi!

    First, open a cmd prompt and see the path name that appears of the work directory.
    Then, you must use this user and the password to connect with RDC.

    As far as I know, I'm afraid that we could not do this. DONT use a Microsoft account on a shared PC or use alternative remote software

    As obvious as it may seem to not use a password, a PIN is highly vulnerable to hackers, since it is only numbers. It is for this security reason that Microsoft blocks using PIN for RDP.

    What we could try to modify the username to "domain server\Username" and then use your traditional password. After doing this, RDP into a PC that is using Windows Hello again.

    None of this works. I need for someone to help.

    Is there a way to get someone to help me troubleshoot the problem? This approach is not working.

    Accessing this laptop via RDC is the only thing I cannot do. It is NOT a shared computer. It is my computer and the one I am trying to access it from is also my computer.

    I paid extra to get Windows 10 Pro specifically so that I could access this laptop via RDC.

    The basics to set up just in case: on the pc you are connecting to check:
    Settings | System | Remote Desktop
    is enabled and that in "User Accounts" the appropriate account that is connecting is specified
