Hey,
You know, I don't have the resources to run a WSUS server and feel like I am forced to install these updates. We have about 100 computer to take care of and these failed updates are really taxing on our IT department. What are our options to try and mitigate the time lost to Microsoft's failed updates?
Additionally, when Microsoft states that it has pulled an update, does that not mean that it won't install on our computers? Because it installed on our computers last night after microsoft said it had pulled the update?
Can MS not send out an update to remove this update?
I feel like I am a hostage some times.

This update contains security issues which have been fixed and failure to apply this patch would put your system into not secure state and cybercriminals would be able to take over it.
I am wondering do you have any servers in your environment?
Does it display any error code?
Installing this security fix causes our computers to blue screen crash when they print. This is a known issue and Microsoft pulled the patch yesterday. See here: https://thewincentral.com/microsoft-pulls-windows-10-update-kb5000802-because-of-bsod-issue-10032/
So installing this wouldn't even be an option today.
My question is more along the lines of, how are customers supposed to allow for testing MS updates before installing them when they do not have an WSUS server? And why doesn't microsoft test the udpates before rollout? Clearly they left this one for their customers to test? It's like they use us as a 300,000,000 user beta testing group.
Yes, we have servers in house. No WSUS servers though.
Why do you say you don't have the resources for WSUS? If you follow my guide on How to Setup, Manage, and Maintain WSUS and setup WSUS the way I outline, you spend maybe 15 minutes a month approving updates to both a test group and then to your production groups.
A WSUS server is not an optimal solution for our organization. After we installed the sever we unfortunately came to understand that the server will take too much management to run correctly. One cannot simply install WSUS and an automation solution such as the one you are promoting and expect everything to work seamlessly. There are too many variables involved to run the WSUS server in a organization such as ours. We would need a nearly full-time person monitoring the updates and the machines in our company. I could see how it would be very useful in a standardized environment, but our is not set up that way.
This would not work. Thus I fall back on my original comments. It would be very helpful if Microsoft updates did not cause business interruptions, it costs us money and it is very disheartening.

Everytime I have used WSUS in the past, I have to spend way way too much time approving updates.
