I am trying to register Azure Synapse as a source in my azure purview, I have created a dedicated SQL pool in my synapse already but the server name is not listed. 77550-image.png

You have created SQL pool inside synapse and looks like it is not supported right now

Azure synapse analytics (DW) which is created outside synapse should be supported

    Hello @Aman Dwivedi ,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A platform and thanks for reaching out.

I have verified with Azure Purview product team and confirmed that Azure Synapse workspace integration is yet to land and is expected very soon in the coming weeks. Unfortunately I do not have definite date but please look out for azure updates page for upcoming features and releases: https://azure.microsoft.com/updates/

Currently only scanning of dedicated SQL pool (formerly SQL DW which was created outside of workspace) is supported.

This is why you are not able to see the Workspace SQL pools while trying to scan in Purview. But expect this feature to land soon.

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you any further queries.
