Hi, we are developing an app using MediaPlayerElement that plays DRM video.
Our drm video type is dash, urn:mpeg:dash:profile:isoff-live:2011.
Now the video can be played on pc, but on Xbox, it shows Unsupported video type or invalid file path.

urn:mpeg:dash:profile:isoff-live:2011dash stream on xbox, while 'MediaPlayerElement' can't.Our production app is using 'MediaPlayerElement', hope this info may help.

If you are testing the app through Dev Mode, you could try to test the app through the Microsoft Store. You could set up a private beta release or something similar to test the app in production referring to the document.

Open the app and hit play button.
So we still think it's a
MediaPlayerElement's bug.By the way, we are using Pallycon DRM to play.

I noticed that when running the sample on my PC, I receive the same “Unsupported video type or invalid file path error” error that is being received on Xbox One. Can you please verify that the provided DRM content and token included in the sample can run successfully on Windows?
With the sample also, have you seen our doc on PlayReady DRM with Xbox One? Have you included the mentioned DeviceCapability in your app's manifest?
Lastly, could you provide additional details on how you are generating your content manifest?

I have been seeing the same issue on my end, too. I tested with both 20H2 and 19H2, and am getting the error consistently when trying to playback the content with DRM.
You mentioned that DRM content stopped working after you upgraded your OS version, what version did you upgrade from? Is DRM playback able to work at all for you with either of the content links provided in the sample? How is the DRM test page set up?
Lastly, how are you generating the DRM manifest for your content?

My os is always 20H2, but someday ago, KB5001330 was pushed to my pc.
Before KB5001330,MediaElementcan play my DRM, only on my pc.MediaPlayerElementalways can't play DRM all the time.
And I use the same repo test for both controls.And lastly, I checked with our backend developer, they said we are using Bitmovin encoding and Pallycon DRM. The same DRM can be played on android & ios.

I did a few tests with and without KB5001330 on my machine, and continue to see the same error consistently with the content being unable to play. It is strange why the content can no longer be played at all.
There are quite a few third parties involved with Pallycon and Bitmovin so this may be a bit tricky to troubleshoot further. In particular, I tested the sample also with removing the Pallycon protection, and still saw the same error.
Our initial suspicion is that there could be an issue in the manifest file. To check further into, we definitely would like to get a working scenario to capture traces with. Just to verify, you can not play the content URL at all inside of UWP anymore?

Indeed, cause we are using Bitmovin and Pallycon tech, so it's hard to find the real problem. I did successfully play DRM using
MediaElementbefore.Now we are planning to use webview to replace uwp, so this issue can be put into TBC.
