I downloaded a Windows Server 2016 iso file, as I'm interested in configuring a computer as a server, as a learning experience. The problem is, the size of the file is 5.6GB, which does not fit on a dvd. I have a 64GB usb drive, but research showed that in order to get the iso file onto a usb drive as a bootable entity, you have to use some kind of a third-party application.

I found a recommendation for a tool called Rufus, a free app which I downloaded. However, Rufus does not recognize the Windows 16 iso file, and I was advised to try a different tool.

My question is: what is the proper tool to use to achieve this? It is just maddeningly frustrating to be stymied so early in the process. (Why would Microsoft create a file that is too big for a dvd, while at the same time advising that it be loaded onto a dvd?)
