Since last patch Tuesday none of our Windows 8.1 devices are getting updates and I'm getting error 0x80240440.

We are deploying the updates via Configuration Manager and we are using multiple ADRs:

Windows 10
deploying without any issue
Windows 8.1 and Office legacy
Windows 8.1 are not getting any update
Windows 10 with a legacy version of Office are getting these updates
Office 365
Windows 8.1 with Office 365 are not getting any update
Windows 10 with Office 365 are getting these updates
It seems that the ADRs and their deployments are working, because on the Windows 10 devices everything is OK. On the Windows 8.1 devices I'm seeing a lot errors:

I've installed a new machine and it gets all updates except for the last month. I've uninstalled the last updates, but then the error remains and the device isn't getting any updates.

I've already ran the sfc /scannow and dism /checkhealth without result.

According to the other teams, there were no changes on GPOs or network and still I'm seeing these errors on all the Windows 8.1 devices.

    Hi anonymous user

0x803d0014 It means the connection with the remote endpoint was terminated, so we could check if there is any problem with firewalls or network. It is recommended to turn off all the firewalls to test and if there is any wrong proxy.

Besides, after checking firewalls or network, we could try to deploy the update manually instead of ADR to check if it is normal.

    Hi Amandayou-MSFT

Thank you for your feedback! I think it has something to do with our proxy, but the network team didn't see any drops and it was strange that only the Windows 8.1 devices were impacted.

I did some troubleshooting on several devices and I've noticed that after a while the windows update became visible in software center.
