WSUS Offline server not importing all data

Hi.

I got 2 servers, one Online WSUS server, where i download all the updates. Then i got a Offline Wsus server, on an airgap network.

What i do is, to download all the updates on my online server, look at every download is downloaded. (Content folder is 60GB)

I then go to CMD and do a Wsustil.exe export export.xml.gz export.log

Copy the Gz file, log and the Content folder to my offline Wsus server. (Everything in same locations)

Then do an wsustil.exe import export.xml.gz import.log

When its done i wait a bit and open my Wsus, aprove all the updates. but i can see many of them still says "this update needs to be downloaded"

if i look at the first screen i can see it says 19gb out of 69gb downloaded.

Why did it not apply all the updates to my offline wsus?

    Hello WifyOppen,

Thanks for your posting on this forum.

Please refer to the below link to import updates from the export server(Connected WSUS Server) to the import server(disconnected WSUS Server):

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/sum/get-started/synchronize-software-updates-disconnected

I would like to summarize this link to help you come out quickly:

    1. To verify that software updates synchronization has completed successfully on the export server
    2. Export process for software updates
To copy local files from the export server to the disconnected software update point server(Binary update files which are used to install on the clients)
To export software updates metadata from the WSUS database on the export server(Metadata which shown on the WSUS console)
Please note that follow the steps one by one. The above order cannot be confused.
    3. Import software updates metadata
To import metadata to the database of the import server

Please feel free to inform me if you have any questions of the above. Thanks for your time.

    Regards,
    Rita

Yes first i do an wsusutil.exe export export.xml.gz export.log on the Online Wsus.

Copy the files + the Wsus content over to the Offline server.

    Then do an wsusutil.exe import export.xml.gz import.log

I then go into my Wsus on my offline server, then i can see all the updates are there.

    I then approve them all.

But then it says, they are not downloaded. I even wait a few hours, still nothing.

In the main screen i can see it says 0 out of 10gb downloaded.

    But nothing works.

    See my guide:

    https://www.ajtek.ca/wsus/client-machines-not-reporting-to-wsus-properly/

Run the client side script, and if that doesn't work, continue down the page to see the troubleshooting steps.
