Hi Experts

i have a third party application which is deployed on a collection and this collection contains windows 2012R2/2016/2019 servers.
The third party application installed is of version 1.0

I want to upgrade this third-party application to version 3.0 and this version only supports 2016 and 2019 servers. it doesn't support 2012R2 servers.
I don't want the new application to be installed on windows 2012R2 servers, if it is upgraded then the application will not work.
i have created an application with version 3.0 and in the requirements tab i have selected window server 2016 and windows server 2019 servers and will deploy on the same collection which has windows 2012R2/2016/2019 servers. will this work for me(application should not get installed on windows server 2012R2 servers)

Before deploying version 3.0, i will uncheck the windows 2016 and 2019 servers in requirements tab of version 1.0 application.
i.e if any windows2016/2019 servers does not have this application, version 3.0 shud get installed else version 1.0 shud be upgraded to version 3.0
What other changes do i need to make am i missing any thing. i will use the below detection method.

    @Glenn Maxwell
    Here is an answer to your question that hopefully you find helpful!
    Based on my experience, these steps and detection method could upgrade the application.

    We may also create a collection firstly, which contains three servers, Windows 2012R2, Windows 2016, and Windows 2019. Then we could use our steps and detection method to test if it can be successfully upgraded as required.
