MECM-SCCM 2010 / Service Now Integration - Database Triggers disabled

Hi - We use MEM 2010 and from a mem perspective everything is working fine.

We use Service Now for our cmdb and the snow admin is attempting to turn on Software Asset Management.
It seems that after a recent CB update Microsoft has disabled the triggers in the database for tr_Add_Remove_Programs_DATA_64_DD
tr_Add_Remove_Programs_DATA_DD. This is causing issues whenever software is removed.

He logged it with Service Now, and they said to reactivate the triggers on the MEM database as per this link.
https://community.servicenow.com/community?id=community_question&sys_id=8b7f1198db380c546064eeb5ca961974

I'm concerned about what side effects this will have on MEM if they are activated so i logged it with Microsoft. They essentially said that these triggers should be activated, but making changes to the database is not recomended and it should be at your own risk.

Our DBA thinks there will be no problems activating these triggers.
I'm hoping someone else can shed some light on why these triggers would've been disabled and will renabling them have a adverse effect to the running of MEM? I mean they were obviously disabled by Microsoft for a reason.?

First is is completely unsupported to query the tables, only the supported Sql views can be used. Why because record locking can occur, causing Sql to "kill" the wrong thread, thereby causing all sorts of problems.
Second, it is unsupported to edit the db in anyway. Doing so may cause problems when you upgrade to a newer version. If the cm team disabled something there is a reason for it.
Third it looks like you are using the old connector if you are using the SCCM 2012 connector. As there is a SCCM 2016 version. https://www.enhansoft.com/how-to-integrate-sccm-data-with-service now/

At the end of the day, i would grab your MS TAM and your Servicenow TAM and get them together to work on your problem so that everything is fully supported.
