Is it possible to push a configuration profile to a shared iPad? My profile will push to a traditional or unshared iPad. However, it will not apply to a shared iPad. I can push application policies and software to the device though.

anonymous user Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

For this issue, I have done some research. In our official article, it shows that there is some limitation when working with shared iPads in the following link. Configuration Profiles are not listed in the limitation. So, we can push a configuration profile to a shared iPad.

To clarify this issue, we appreciate your help to check if the configuration profile is deployed successfully. We can refer to the following article to check.

I am having difficulties applying configuration profiles to shared iPads. I am trying to remove apps and configure the dock to display standard applications there such as Office, Edge, etc. We are only testing on two devices, again one shared and the other not shared.

When I go to iOS Managed Device Restrictions I see two successful deployments. For the shared iPad, it displays "System account". I see the same thing under our Device Features configuration. Both Device Restrictions and Device Features are applied as required based on a dynamic device group. I know the group works because it works with the unshared iPad. Does anyone have thoughts on what might be wrong? Thanks for the input! I even tried making a new configuration profile.
