Problem with Windows 10 fingerprint reader reliability

The fingerprint reader in my PC compatible mouse stops recognizing my fingerprint after a few days, I have to go back to the Windows Hello! settings in Windows 10 once or twice every week to generate new ones, a major inconvenience. I'm just using the Windows Hello! fingerprint driver that came with Windows 10 on my new PC, not a proprietary third party driver. Are there some folks for which the Windows Hello! driver has trouble recognizing their fingers? Might it be sensitive to body temperature, blood chemistry or some other medical characteristic of these individuals? Anything else I should try to resolve this problem? Thank you very much!
