Windows reset issue

Question

I am trying to reset my window 10, but in the process it asks for me to put the windows 10 dvd back into the computer, but i've had this computer for several years now and have lost the dvd. Can I rebuy the windows 10 dvd and use that to reset my pc?

Hi,
Your PC does not have a Windows Recovery Environment (WRE) to reset the PC. Create a recovery drive by following the steps from the link below and check if the issue is resolved.

you can try creating windwos10 installation media from the same pc using media creation tool.

I installed the windows driver onto a usb stick, then on the right of the image I tried to reset but it said I need a recovery drive, and then after trying to make a recovery drive on the left it said I am missing files.

As the Reset fails, you can try making clean install using Windows 10 ISO file:
