Hi,

My laptop has 2GB AMD Radeon 540 graphics.

Currently Radeon Software Version is 17.12 and its driver version is 25.20.14002.1.

AMD Radeon Settings is showing notification for upgrading Radeon version to Adrenalin 2020 Edition 21.3.1.

Whenever I upgrade, error starts as below and BSOD issue occurs.

I discussed with Lenovo and AMD. They explained some steps but not useful.

That’s why I don’t want to upgrade AMD Radeon graphics driver and I tuned off notification in AMD Radeon Settings.

However, I am not sure that it will not be upgraded automatically.

With Windows Update, it may be upgraded automatically.

Just because of AMD Radeon graphics driver update, I don’t want to stop or pause Windows update.

Be it local group policy or registry editor or by any way, please let me know, how to stop background or auto update of AMD Radeon graphics driver?

With Regards
NndnG

My advice disable Windows Update for Drivers automatically and opt foe Device Driver update via support site of the manufacturer:

Open Control Panel\System and Security\System\Hardware tab, and click Device Installation Settings button.

In the pop-up Device Installation Settings window, you can tick No (your device might not work as expected) under the message “Do you want to automatically download manufacturers’ apps and custom icons available for your devices?”

Your question is not related to Windows for IT Professional and is related to Windows for consumers.
Therefore, I would recommend you to post your question on Windows Consumer forum which is:

Also please explain steps you have followed so far.
