Hyper-V Fibre Storage LUN access path change?

Hello,
We have a customer that have Hyper-V hosts on Server 2012 R2. The nodes use CSV (Clustered Shared Volume) for VM.
Hosts connect to IBM storage and customer want to change Storage I/O groups of this nodes and I think LUN storage space will not change but LUN access path will change. In such a situations what will we do on Hyper-V hosts. Host reboot or VMs reboot is necesarry or is there anything else we will do?

    Hi,

    According to your description, seems only the connection path changed, the disk remains the original ones.

    At the cluster level, if the VM's VHD path not changed, the VMs won't be affected. So, please check if after the change, the CSV volume name will be changed.

    Thank you for your posting!

    Based on your descriptions, I would like to ask you about your IBM storage. You may need to determine whether changing Storage I/O groups refers to changing the path of the nodes to LUN while the original data disk in CSV remains unchanged. IBM storage is a third party product and is not covered in our scope.
    So you may need to ask support engineers of IBM storage for help in this case.

    If the original disk remains unchanged when changing storage I/O groups, then when you reconnect to your storage, you CSV will appear in your nodes of your new storage I/O groups. If your original disk will be changed when changing storage I/O groups, you will need to do storage migration additionally.

    Hi jiayaozhu,
    You mentioned "original data disk in CSV remains unchanged" is right. there is only changing path but it will be like copy. All Hyper-V host's storage disk path will be copy to other controller so we say this I/O group migrate. Actually I wonder at this time , will it be any interruption on Hyper-V nodes so virtual machines connecitons?
