Cannot switch Teams-Accounts on Linux

Setup
My organisation has two Teams-domains for the users - in one I have full rights, i.e., can create channels etc, and in the other I am a guest (another usergroup has full rights in this domain). For each domain I have a distinct account, and I can normally easily switch between them.

Problem
Since last week I am unable to switch between the two accounts on Linux. When selecting the account for the guest-domain, the Teams client restarts, but with the same account. However, sometimes it briefly starts with the account I want to switch to before restarting in the other account.

Attempted Solutions
I also have a Windows machine where everything works flawlessly. The web-client under Linux works as well. Therefore, I think it is a problem with the client. I tried reinstalling, with no success.

Edit:
System
Elementary OS 5.1 (based on Ubuntu 18.04) with Teams 1.4.00.7556 (64-Bit).

    @Hans ,

    I reproduced the steps in Ubuntu 20 with Teams version 1.4.00.7556(64-bit). The result is the same.

    We will work on this problem. Any update I will share with you here.

    Thanks for your understanding and patience.

    Microsoft engineers are aware of this behavior.
    Investigation of a solution in a future release is underway.
    There is no ETA that we can publish, currently.
    If the "workaround" published on June 7 is viable, affected users are welcome to use that.
    Microsoft's position on this is that anyone requiring this feature, until a permanent solution is released, is welcome to either use the Teams web application in a supported browser or either Windows or Mac versions of the desktop client.
    Thank you.
