Azure Virtual Machine - Windows Updates - Exception: 'Timed out while scanning for missing updates.'.

My Azure Virtual Machine recently stopped downloading and installing windows updates sometime after March 15th 2021. I tried installing the missing updates through the Azure Portal using Update Management and received the following error:

I've searched other Microsoft Forums but don't see any posted solutions:

How do I install the critical updates?

Hello @Vinson Yuen ,

Can you verify if MMA Agent is installed correctly and running on this machine?

If it’s not showing a correct status you have to reinstall Microsoft Monitoring Agent, below I’m sending the instructions on how to do it:

Uninstall MMA Agent => Install MMA Agent

Also, what OS do you have? You can find this information under Settings -> System -> About. Is it supported? Did it work before as expecting?

It is installed correctly.

OS: Windows Server 2016 Data Center. It was working as intended earlier.

@olgaoos For clarification. Windows update was handled by the Virtual Machine prior to March 15th. Sometime after March 15th Windows Updates stopped working. When attempting to install through the Virtual Machine, the system correctly identifies the missing updates but the updates never properly download and stay at 0%. I'm trying to install the updates through the Azure portal now but am receiving the error shown above.

@olgaoos I'm getting a new error from the Management Screen.

The documentation I'm reading up on mentions potential issues/changes to the Proxy Server but the VM never needed a proxy server before when installing updates. Where there changes made recently on the Azure end that would require additional setup that I did not need before?
