Wordpress offers easy transfer to other hosting sites such as Godaddy & Squarespace by giving the domain owner a domain Auth-Code. But with Azure static web app it seems a bit more complicated. If you go to the custom domains tab within your static app you are given the option to type in the custom domain. But nothing I type in there seems valid. I type (for example) www.domain.org, then it says: CNAME Record is invalid. Please ensure the CNAME record has been created. If I type in the Auth-Code given by Wordpress the same expression pops up. So, how do I give my Azure site the domain I own from Wordpress? P.S. I don't want to keep the Wordpress design template, only the domain name.

I'm not sure what an Auth-Code contains, https://www.bluehost.com/help/article/epp-auth-code is the closest I could find with regards to it. However, the steps for transferring your domain should be quite simple.

    1. Log into your DNS registrar's management portal that owns your domain. Add the www CNAME record for your Azure Static Website generated URL.
    2. Verify CNAME propagation by entering www.domain.org at dnspropagation.net and verify your static website address is returned.
    3. Go back to the portal, enter the CNAME and hit Validate.

You can review this process on https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/static-web-apps/custom-domain.
