Get the message of "Failed to initialize SmartAudio. The application will exit" message keeps coming up after upgrade to windows 10 version 1909. Click OK and the message re-appears in less than a minute, again.

I have looked for several ways to get this message to stop coming up. I have tried several things to get this message to stop showing up and have not been successful.

Anyone have any ideas?

Uninstall and reinstall Conexant SmartAudio HD Driver to fix the issue.

    Have you checked Control Panel?

I shall suggest you to uninstall audio driver and it's application from Device Manager > Reboot > Reinstall audio driver.

I have also removed all that I could from the registry for "SmartAudio" and the message still came up.
ran windows updates several times. HP updates for the drivers and hardware.

Not sure what else I can do but reimage.

Clean boot worked for the message to NOT come up.
Started the process to see if I could find the culprit. I did find the item(s). Services CxAudioSvc Service and CxUIUSvc Service. If these services are started, the error comes up. If these services are disabled, no error.

HP Computer has Synaptics HD Audio. What I need to know is this: are these services needed to be able to get the sound on the computer and thus have to be running?
