Hi,

after installing the above mentioned update on April 17, Windows Server Backup always ended without succesthe target for that Backup is on a shared folder on a synology NAS.

After checking the eventlog I found the following entry:

I tried to repair Windows server backup as described here for example https://www.auslogics.com/en/articles/fix-errors-0x807800c5-and-0x807800.

After uninstalling the update Windows Server Backup seems to be working again. Is there a fix/workaround for that issue?

    Hi,

    Thank you for your posting!

We have recently encountered several cases with the same issues as yours one after another. After our investigation, it may be an incompatibility issue between the updated versions and the synology NAS.

The following case is the same with yours: although you have different KB versions (1382 and 1347) and different server versions, the third-party you used——synology NAS, the error codes and messages you encountered were the same. So, I think his solution may be appropriate to you:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/362119/kb5001347-april-2021-update-issue-with-server-back.html

Thank you for your understanding and support! I have already posted this issue to our product group and we will try our best to fix this issue as soon as possible. So I would appreicate it if you can help me "Accept Answer" so I can spread this issue more broadly to let others who have the same issue get informed more quickly.

    Best regards
    Joan

Giving "Everyone" all access rights on the VHDX container solves this problem.
