I am unable to install Windows Management Framework 5.1 onto my server running Microsoft Server 2008 R2 SP1. I am using the following resource:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=54616

The URL that should allow me to download WMF 4.0 is broken! (Page cannot be found)
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=293881

I would like to run the latest version of PowerShell on my server. However, I cannot seem to install the prerequisite software!

That Microsoft document helped A LOT!

I was able to successfully Install WMF 5.1 and install PowerShell v7.

However, when I run the Get-Printer cmdlet I get the following error message. (See attachment)

I thought I was getting this error because I was running Powershell 2, but I am getting the same exact error in Powershell v7.
Do you know if I need to import something, before I can use the Get-Printer cmdlet?!

Haha. Just discovered that the Get-Print command is only available on Server 2012 (or newer).

That being said, this question was about Installing WMF 5.1 & I was able to achieve that objective.

Thanks for your help @Dave Patrick !
