Android project won't finish building

Hello,

I am not sure exactly when this happened, maybe after a Visual Studio 2019 update or a Windows 10 update (i can't remember any other major changes lately), but now my android project won't stop building.

When I build the app, all the project dependencies build just fine in a few seconds, but the VS2019 gets stuck on building the android project and it never finishes.

I installed VS on a different computer (same VS version and same code from the repo) and it builds correctly and I am able to run the app.
What can I look into to solve this?
I need it to work on my work computer....

    Hi @Stesvis ,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

    I noticed that the similar issue had been reported in our Developer Community before, please kindly check this thread: Visual Studio 2019 version 16.9.1 couldn’t finish building Xamarin android app and the related answer/comment that Jonathan Peppers mentioned.

    If the similar thread doesn’t match your issue. I suggest you try to delete the hidden .vs folder, repair VS and then reboot your machine, open VS and rebuild your project again. Also, you can narrow down this issue by creating a new Android project to see if newly created project works.
