Can't Connect Win10 PC to replacement AD DS

I replaced my AD DS, because original crashed and restore of backup failed.

I removed AD from original server and all associated roles/features.
I also removed DNS/DHCP from original server.

Created a new server / installed AD DS, DHCP / DNS, changed to different IP addresses, but tried to keep same domain name

Now none of the workstations on my network can be joined or connect, everything fails with domain not found.

I can ping and see shared resources, but cant connect to domain.

Any help would be appreciated.. TIA.

Even though the domain name is the same the underlying GUID is different. You'll need to join the members to the new domain. Also check the the domain controller and problem members have the static ip address of DC listed for DNS and no others such as router or public DNS.

    Hi,
Based on my understanding, there is only one DC in your domain, and it crashed, right?
If so, the only method to get your domain back is restore it from backup.

If you can't restore it, you need to create a new domain and all the clients to the domain. In the new domain, the DC will totally be different with the old one, even you make the domain name the same.

    Best Regards,
