Hi All

We are trying to get Device serial number for network devices in SCOM. We have configured network devices using SNMP discovery but unable to get serial number. Any thoughts.

Where do you want to see the device serial number?
Is it available through a snmp query?

We want the serial number in reports/dashboards. We have the OID available for serial number. Do we need to create SNMP rule for this?

No that would more likely be the purpose of a custom attribute discovery

Thanks , But i could only see "Registry " and " WMI query" options. Can we use OID or any other way to create custom attribute for serial number.
