DNS Priority in Win Server 2016

I have two servers, one of them is Linux Ubuntu 20.04 that is my website server (192.168.20.11) and the other one is Win server 2016 which is my DC and DNS server (192.168.20.10). The name of my website and Domain Name are the same (spsco.net). In DNS manager-->Forward Lookup Zones-->spsco.net, I have two "same as a parent folder" records which one of them is created dynamically and one of them is created Statically by me. So when I want to ping my website in local network, there are two records for the same domain name, and it causes latency in loading the website. is there any solution for that? can I prioritize between in these DNS records?

    Hi,

    Welcome to Q&A platform.

My understanding is your domain name is same as the website name. If there is any misunderstanding, please correct me.

The workaround is create an A record in the DNS zone named "www.domain name" without the quotes and point it to the website.

Or you could configure Split-Brain DNS, for more details you could refer to the following articles:

Use DNS Policy for Split-Brain DNS in Active Directory

And here is a similar thread discussed before, you could have a look:

DNS (internal domain has same name as external website)

    Best Regards,
    Sunny

I have already created an A record "www" for my website, but how can I redirect visitors over WAN from non-www to www?
