How to allow the "Dual messenger" feature on samsung devices in Intune

So we started using Samsung knox and microsoft intune to deploy a bunch of smartphones. (samsung galaxy a52 5g )

Everything sort of went well, but there is an option that is apparently blocked form use.
This is called "dual messenger" which means, if supported by the app you can run multiple instances of it.

this is a requirement for users who want to use the phone with their private cell / dual sim.

However, when trying to enable this, it says there are device restrictions in place that prevent the use of dual messenger.

I've been searching everywhere, and only found something that says : DISALLOW_ADD_MANAGED_PROFILE
but i cannot find any setting in intune that might help with that.

Has anyone figured out how to allow the use of the dual messenger feature in Samsung phones ?

@Peter Huiskens Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

From your description, I know that we couldn't allow "Dual messenger" in enrolled Samsung knox devices. If there is anything misunderstanding, feel free to let us know.

Could you please try to manually set it? We can refer to the following link:
    https://www.samsung.com/sg/support/mobile-devices/how-to-activate-dual-messenger-feature-on-samsung-mobile-device/
Note: Non-Microsoft link, just for the reference.

Based on my experience, there is no such settings that we can configure to allow "Dual messenger" feature via intune.

For this issue, I have done a lot of research. I find someone has the similar requirement in intune uservoice. This is a place to collect customers' requirements and problems. We can vote and post our detailed request here.

    Thanks for understanding.

so if i understand correctly, the fact that it is not allowed to use the dual messenger feature is not a restriction in intune.
and therefor a restriction in Samsung knox.

If i figure it out, I'll post the answer here even if it is not an intune issue, i can imagine this forum is one of the first places to look for an answer
I'll keep watch of the user voice article, and maybe update the information i find there.

    thnx for the answer

    With kind regards,

    Peter

    Hello,

Today we also received this similar incident.
Is there any solution known for this yet?

Can a policy be placed through Intune that dual messenger app from Samsung does work?
Or should we install WhatsApp on the work profile?

    Kind regards,
    Steven
