We're the producers of a PDF creation library (see www.combit.com) and run into problems with the Azure GDI sandboxing as documented here. I saw that some PDF creation tools got exemptions from being sandboxed and would like to get in contact to see if we could qualify. List & Label is a widely used tool and we get more and more requests from customers to be able to support Azure. In AWS, there is no such limitation which is why many customers finally turn there.

I got directed here from @AzureSupport via Twitter.

    Hi @JochenBartlau-8535,

While I understand your request, sandbox exemption isn't something we support.

What I can suggest is utilizing Windows Containers where you provide your customers a customized image with your List & Label tool installed and running. While this feature is still in preview, I can assure the team is working diligently to get those product GA. I also encourage sending feedback and posting any questions here on the Answers platform should you encounter any issues.
