Applications Insights Geo redundancy

Question

We have two regions Central US and East US2 and we are using Active Active configuration with weighted routing configured in Traffic Manager.

We are using single Application Insights configured In the Central US , for both regions. To the Application Insights we are streaming data from our web apps, function apps deployed in both the regions.

What is the way to set up high availability for Application Insights.? Do we need to create separate Application Insights for both the regions.? We have configured alerts in the App Insights for the Functions App that hosts a Durable function. We have the durable function deployed in both the regions but only one will run at a time. I want to understand from this perspective whether i need to have a Application Insights per region as alerts are generated in case there is any exception thrown from the Durable function.

@suvra jyoti Application Insights doesn’t support disaster recovery as of now. But please do note that Azure Monitor logs will soon be supporting availability zones and it doesn't require additional deployment as well.

Regarding to your question on how to set up high availability , you might have to create separate application insights for both the regions. Same question has been answered here.
