Hi,
I have the following string coming from my database:
string linkedin_profile = "https://www.linkedin.com/in/jassimrahma/";
How can I open it in Linkedin app using Xamarin?
I tried a normal Launch but it's opening in the browser only.

How can I open it in Linkedin app using Xamarin?
To open a linking app when loading a url, the url needs to contains the scheme. For example, I created a custom linking application and set the DataScheme to "aaa" and DataHost to "my-app. com". We can use the scheme to open the linking app.

Intent action = new Intent(Intent.ActionView, Android.Net.Uri.Parse(url));
StartActivity(action);
In your case, please add the 'Linkedin' app scheme to the url.

Could you please post more details about the problem? If you're talking about the app linking in xamarin.forms, this function should be achieved on each platform. In your case, the scheme is controlled by the 'linkedin app' instead of your application. Please just try to get the scheme of the linkedin app and add it in your test.
Yeah I know Linkedin is controlled by them and what I want is to open a Linkedin URL saved in mydatabase like this:
https://www.linkedin.com/in/jassimrahma/
so when the user clicks on the linkedin icon on my app it will open the above URL in Linkedin app (if installed) otherwise on web browser.

To start the specific application to open the url, the url must be configured with the corresponding scheme. For the above url, it start with 'https://www.' which will be always opened by the browser.
