Hi all,

We have a excel com add-in, when trying to load excel by double clicking add-in is not showing even though the load behavior setting is 3. But when we are trying to load as different user or administrator it works fine. This issue is seen in couple of systems of company users. But for many it was working fine too. One more thing is when the profile is deleted and new profile created for the same username in same laptop, it works fine for some days without any issue. We tried to copy load behaviour setting to different locations in registry. Can someone help us to resolve this. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Mani KumarNune

    @Mani KumarNune ,
    Welcome to Q&A forum!

    According to your description, this issue occurred randomly in couple systems.
    Please continue to pay attention to whether the issue persists after re-creating the new profile.

    Due to this issue involves third-party Add-ins, I cannot further analyze this issue through the test.
    Thanks for your understanding!

    From the perspective of Office, I would suggest you try the following steps on 2 test machines.

    • Which version of Office are you using? Please update it to the latest verion.
    • Open the Group Policy Editor and go to User Configuration/Policies/Administrative Templates/Microsoft Office 2016/Global Options/Customize to disable Disable UI extending from documents and templates.

    Any updates, please let me know.
