I can't activate the new server 2022 with my internal KMS server.
I do this:

I did what abbodi86-0005 link showed before I read it. And now I can activate the 2022 server so I think. But putting a key on the server so you can activate using KMS basically defeats the purpose of a KMS server. If your going to do that you might as well just use a MAK key. The purpose for KMS is so you build servers/workstations and they go the server to get a key. Not install a key to get a key. And Im still not sure its getting activated via the kms server or using the key and going to micosoft. Microsoft needs to get there act together for KMS. Need better tools and there server editions need to be able to activate using KMS before they release it for use. For something so important they really suck on this.

I have purchase a product key from retail (windows server 2022), However, they say the product key you entered didnot work, please check the product key. I ahve tried to use the powershell of windows using this command dism /online /set-edition:ServerStandard /productkey: xxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx /accepteula , but a new 87 error appears I donot know how should I do to activate the windows server 2022?

We had almost the same problem.
We were trying for a week now to setup ADBA, but it always refused the 2022 CSVLK key saying it was invalid until today !
It magically accepted the key today.
And I installed no hotfix or special update, my server 2019 where I configured ADBA was only fully patched with the 'regular' updates.
I notified the MS engineer who was assigned on the case and he didn't know why it was working now, he is going to look for the reason.
I just saw that https://cloudblogs.microsoft.com/windowsserver/2021/09/01/windows-server-2022-now-generally-available-delivers-innovation-in-security-hybrid-and-containers/
It is now that 2022 is generally available, I suppose it it also today that they have allowed the activation of the 2022 keys.
You should try again, maybe it will work now (I hope it for you).

Hello HMB,
Have you checked if the KMS host is updated as per below Microsoft KB? Also I would suggest temporary disabling the firewall and check that the network connection between client and host is correct.

We are facing a similar problem and I had found this article too but what update are they talking about ?
Looking on Microsoft Update Catalog, I can't find any update named KB5003478.
Looking on the update history page for server 2019 ( https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/windows-10-and-windows-server-2019-update-history-725fc2e1-4443-6831-a5ca-51ff5cbcb059 ) I can't see any update with a date of April 28, 2021.
I have even opened a support case but Microsoft seem to struggle to find an answer too.
