Can AADDS and AAD run on the same tenant ?

Hi,

This is a strange question, i know.

Setting up a environment where there exists a AAD running on a domain which another company have the control of.
So I will not get access to this domain at all. There is somewhats around 200 users synched

I am trying to set up AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop) and need to utilize either AADDS or AAD. (Would prefer AAD but this will origin from another AD, and that would be another level of issue) From AADDS i would use a Scoped sync so it would not touch the 200 users that is alread directory synched.

So the only way out is to set up AADDS and use a dns naming that is not in conflict. But I am not able to figure out if this is s supported solution ?

Does anyone have any experience or any input ?
I am afraid to break the AAD Agent in Azure if i "try and fail" and since i dont have access to the AAD i would not be able to fix it :)

By AAD do you mean Azure Active Directory or Active Directory Domain Services as in a traditional Windows Server Active Directory environment? Azure AD and Azure AD Domain Services are co-dependent. You have to have both!
