Is a 30 days' refund automatically offered for downloadables?

Hello,

Are customers of downloadables eligible for the 30 days' Microsoft Store refund?

I have not set up a free trial period for my app product in the faith they would be. For me it'd be preferable to restrict the trial use of the premium edition (for external reasons) to serious customers, possibly in this way.

I have been through the likely regarding section of the Terms of Sale, and albeit still uncertain, I am tempted to believe the answer is a "no", whilst somewhere (I can't find where) I believe to have picked up the potential outdated/false information a few months ago that (software, definitely not add-on in this case) customers are generally eligible for this refund mechanism.

(I also found a capture of a 2011 store policy stating something like "returns for downloadable software products will be honored for thirty (30) days from the date of purchase")

If it is not possible by default, would I be able to make it possible in some way, or - if it's a common practice - just at least give/approve them a refund on a case by case basis somehow?

Thank you,

Janos

    Hello,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

Are customers of downloadables eligible for the 30 days' Microsoft Store refund?

First of all, your issue is more related to the Microsoft Store billing.

I'd suggest you check the MICROSOFT TERMS OF SALE. In section 16, it clarifies the Return Policy. If this still can't help you, you could try the following ways:

    1) You could ask your question here: Microsoft Store & billing help.
    2) You could contact the Microsft Support here: Contact Microsoft Support.
    3) You could contact the Microsoft Store team here: Contact Us. Go to Contact us, find Non-Technical Support - Dashboard and choose CHAT NOW or **
    SUBMIT AN INCIDENT**.

    Thank you.
