Sharepoint Document library - Cannot edit/update folder properties

Question

Dear all,

My users are not able to edit folder properties in a Sharepoint library. It gives an error that they don't seem to have access. They have full permission on some of the folders (not all folders). I have a small group of people which have edit access to all of the folders. For them the editing works fine.
It is a power apps form that is used to edit the properties.

Can somebody please help me?

Hi @SaanaL , welcome to Q&A forum!

Per my test in my end, if users are using OOTB library, even if users only have permissions for some folders, they can still directly edit the file permissions for which they have permissions.

And if you are using a power apps form, per my understanding it's a behavior by default:

User with full control with all the folders:

User with Edit permission on some folders:

This is exactly what it does. Is there any way to resolve this problem? The users need to edit folder properties when they only have edit permission on some folders.
Or is this a default behaviour that cant be worked around?

@Wendy Li_MSFT Thanks for checking. The answer was helpful thought not what I was wishing for. I had to work around the issue and give a group of people access to the whole library. If anybody finds another way please let me know.
