I can send emails using the browser version of outlook but I can't if using the outlook application i.e the one available with the office products. For info, I use Kaspersky as an anti virus. I get the following error message when I try to send an email which doesn't mean much to the layman:

Error is [0x80004005-0x00000b22-0x00000501].

    Hi @Nick Smith ,

Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Storage.OutboundSpamException: WASCL UserAction verdict is not None. Actual verdict is Suspend, ShowTierUpgrade. at Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Storage.WasclHelper.PerformAntiSpamCheck(IStoreSession session, ICoreItem coreItem, Func`1 activityScopeGetter)

According to this part of the error message you shared above, seems like the issue is related to some kind of outbound antispam checking activities. Considering that as you mentioned, there's indeed an anti-virus software running in your machine, also based on my personal experience, issues like this could be caused third-party applications, so in order to help narrow down the issue, it's suggested to try temporarily disabling Kaspersky and see if the messages can be sent out.

In case the above doesn't work, please try creating a new Outlook profile for your email account and check how it goes. See Overview of Outlook e-mail profile for information on creating new Outlook profiles.

    Hi,
Mostly there is a communication problem between Outlook and your outgoing mail server. This problem is causing the email to get stuck in the outbox because Outlook cannot connect to your email server to send it. So check with your email address provider and also check if your email server settings are up to date or not.

Above mentioned solution is general but this [0x80004005-0x00000b22-0x00000501] error I never faced. I hope this manual method will help you.
