Hi @Sander van de Velde !

I just wanted to know if there have been any updates on this so far.

In this demo (exact timestamp: 11:31), the presenter explains that it's possible to change the color of the pin depending on the device state. This would be very useful, but so far we couldn't find any way of doing this via the UI nor the API.

Besides, I found your tutorial in which you explain the feature as well, but I couldn't find any way to do that in our application. What am I missing? :o

I totally forgot about that blog :-)

If I compare the widget printscreen from my 2019 blog and from the 2021 post, it seems some of the features are removed...

Hello @aswin l ,

I checked out IoT Central to see what options are available.

I create a test template with location telemetry in the device template and added a map to display it:

A simulated device generates a location:

The pin is blue indeed.

The map widget has no options to change the color:

Even customizing the app color (accent and header) do not change this.

At this moment, it is not possible to change the color of this pin.
