unable to onboard azure defender for iot sensor

following the playbook at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/defender-for-iot/organizations/how-to-manage-sensors-on-the-cloud and https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/defender-for-iot/organizations/how-to-activate-and-set-up-your-sensor, actual onboarding of the sensor ends abruptly when uploading the sensor license, with an orange error of Error: Sensor cannot connect to Azure IoT Hub (Unable to open DeviceClient connection. (6)). Please contact support.

    And you made sure to Update sensor network configuration before activation ?
