Manually Download install Feature Update KB

Hello! I was wondering if there is some way to download and install feature updates manually. I have about 20 classified offline servers that need to be patched, none of which can connect to the internet. I have an offline WSUS set up, but because it is offline, I need to manually get KBs and import them to the machine to push out. The feature updates, for some idiotic reason aren't on the update catalog so I can't just go grab them. I have a few systems on v 1407. The rest are on 1903.

  1. Would it be easier to remake the 1407 with an up to date version using an ISO? Could that work? Also, is it possible to jump from 1407 to 21H0 in one shot?
  2. For the 1903 servers, same question.
  3. Is the only option to use the media creation tool with a 21H0 install and run that or should I download a 21H0 ISO and do it in place? Can both update the version without affecting files folders and settings?

    As long as your ONLINE WSUS server shows the Upgrades category selected and the correct products selected (see https://www.ajtek.ca/wsus/how-to-setup-manage-and-maintain-wsus-part-3-windows-as-a-service-waas-and-group-policy-administrative-templates/) then you should be able to easily export and import your Feature upgrades using the regular method (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/sum/get-started/synchronize-software-updates-disconnected)

    The process shouldn't be difficult. It should be approve on the Online WSUS, wait for the content to download, then, run the export commands, copy the data over to the offline WSUS, run the import command, and allow your systems to recognize the new upgrades and approve them.

    Oh, and yes, you can use any 21H1 media to upgrade any prior version of Windows 10, and any licensed for 10 version of Windows 7 or Windows 8 directly to Windows 10 21H1. However, you may have to step-upgrade via WSUS. Some have said direct upgrades work and show as needed - others have had to do step-hops to the latest via WSUS.

    Thanks for your posting on Q&A and thnks for @Adam J. Marshall 's sharing.

    We could follow Marshall's solution to upgrade windows clients, upgrade from windows 7/8/8.1 to windows 10 or upgrade windows 10 to the latest version.

    In addition, I want to share a helpful link to upgrade Windows Server. Please follow this link to in-place upgrade.

    As far as I know, We could not upgrade windows servers by WSUS servers.
