Hi all,

Can SCOM monitor Android devices?
We have a team of people working in the Field that use Android Tablets that use a custom App that connects back to custom Load Balancer in house.
They connect in via a Private VPN.

Want to monitor connectivity/ availability of the App.
Want to monitor Connect and Disconnect to the in house load balancer using specific Ports etc.

Haven't seen any Management Pack for Android.

Regards
Saiyad

    Hi @Saiyad Rahim ,

As far as I know there is no existing management pack for Android devices, in this case you would have to author your own, or pay a third-party company to do it for you.

Edit: If the app is hosted elsewhere, you might want to monitor the app where it's hosted from or the host itself.

Would that actually be Android monitoring at all?
I guess what you're interested in is the availability of the backend App server, which likely doesn't run on Android; and same for the load balancer...
