Hello,

I am new to Data Protection Manager and wanted to start with hopefully a simple question. Can someone tell me how, or point me to, the process I should use to clear a minor alert? The alert says "Replica is inconsistent," but I know that the drive in question is not being backed up. Also, if someone knows of a good tutorial on managing DPM, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you,
jbooze

    Hi @jbooze ,

Unfortunately you cannot clear DPM alerts, if DPM is giving an alert of something you are not backing up, you could try right-clicking the alert and select perform a consistency check to see if the alert goes away.

    Hello @jbooze ,

I am afraid you can't clear Data Protection Alerts. Just perform a Consistency check in order to clear, and check if that works.

You can consolidate alerts in the console. You can display a single alert for repeated alerts, or display a single alert for multiple alerts that have the same root cause. If you're using a ticketing system, you can generate a single ticket only for repeated alerts.
