Windows activation error 0x87e10bc6

Question

Hi,

I have a MSI laptop with original Windows 10 installed for more than 5 years.
I decided to re-install a fresh Windows 10 because the older one was slow.

Before re-installation I copied the license key in a notepad file to add it in new Windows.

But when I want to add the license on new fresh Windows it does not accept:

I did activation troubleshooter, the same error:

finally with command:

slmgr /ipk

got error:

Error: 0xC004F050 The Software Licensing Service reported that the product key is invalid

After a lot of searching, and trying different configurations the only simple thing that worked for me was:

Change the region to my REAL country where I had connected the pc. so if you have a VPN or something you will have to change to the region that corresponds.

Hello again @Amin2234

As I can see from the screenshot, you have installed a Windows 10 Home Single Language version of Windows 10. What was the version of Windows 10 before you reinstalled? I looks like the key you were using is not valid for the current install. For example: Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Home Single Language require different keys.

Hi there,

Usually, this might happen if the servers are busy and they cannot communicate with your PC.
Alternatively, you can try Phone activation or activate with help of chat support , this might help you with the process
