Connect Wise Session locked when trying to promote myself to local Admin in AVD

Hello,

At my company we use connectwise control to provide remote IT assistance. I am testing Azure Virtual Desktop for a future move to VM's for our facilities. Connect wise allows you to send Alt-control-delete commands to the remote desktop so that we can promote ourselves to local admin.

When I tested this today with our test VM In azure virtual desktop. The session locked and I was unable to see any prompt to enter the local admin credentials to promote my user in the session.

Has anyone had an issue similar or knows of a way to troubleshoot this? It is isolated to the VM, it works fine on normal machines. If not is there another way within azure that I can remotely provide tech support? I know quick assist exists but I haven't found a way to get local admin rights over a quick assist session.

Thanks!

    @Trevor Rhoads

    Firstly, apologies for the delay in responding here and any inconvenience this issue may have caused.

    Please find this blog post for the options for remote support.

    I am not familiar with connect wise. You might need to reach out to Connect Wise support to check on the feasibility for AVD.

    Hope that helps.
