Visual Studio Update 3 can not install

Question

I am unable to install Update 3 for Visual Studio 2015. I have tried

I have already tried this (and numerous others) advise, but that didn't help either

I've tried downloading KB3165756 and install that as well, but it requires Update 3...

On April 26, 2021, Visual Studio 2015 and older web installer files were removed from the Microsoft Download Center. These products can be installed from ISO images available at Downloads - Visual Studio Subscriptions Portal.

You can download Visual Studio 2015 Update 3 in this Website.

Hi,

I downloaded and ran VS2015.3.exe from mu_visual_studio_2015_update_3_x86_x64_dvd_8923065.iso (6 GB!!!), but I still get the same error.

I haven't had any problems installing VS Community 2015 including Update 3 from the downloaded ISO image of the full product.

Have you considered reinstalling your version of VS2015 from the full product ISO image that includes Update 3?

I installed "mu_visual_studio_2015_update_3_x86_x64_dvd_8923065.iso".
