I can't understand why the updates are not being installed

Hi!

I ask for the help of experts.

I installed the WSUS server on Windows Server 2019. For the update, I use the group policy applied to some Windows Server 2016 servers taken for testing.
The policy has been applied. I now see that there are uninstalled updates on a single server. In the WSUS summary:

Updates with errors: 0

Updates needed: 8

Updates installed/not applicable: 4466

These 4466 were installed earlier, before the introduction of WSUS. 8 updates that were not installed were downloaded before the introduction of WSUS. I approved these updates manually.

The policy sets the setting every night at 3: 00.
But I don't see any changes. All the same updates are marked as not installed.

I received the Windows Update log starting at 3: 00. Can someone help me figure it out.

    Thanks for your posting on this forum.

    I would like to introduce some background of WSUS first before moving on. There are two update files, one is metadata which show on the WSUS console and the other is Binary update file which are used to install actually. We have to approve the needed updates and then the Binary update files will be downloaded.

    You mentioned that there are 8 needed updates on the WSUS console. In order to get the needed updates, we have to approve the needed updates for the computers, no matter manually or automatically.

    In addition, I would like to talk about the update status. Please follow the below screenshot to add the Supersedence option and check the update status out. Here is a reference screenshot for you:

    Also here is a related link from Official for your reference. There are so many superseded updates, so we should approve the latest version for the computers.

    Review my guide on How to Setup, Manage, and Maintain WSUS - Part 4 shows the policies that work well. If you want Servers in the mix to auto-install, please follow the same settings as the Workstations
