"Error: Connection Error" viewing synchronization history on WSUS console (Windows Server 2019 and WID)

Question

Dear professionals,

I have set up WSUS service at Windows Server 2019 VM with Windows Internal Database.
After running wizard and doing initial database synchronization, WSUS console occurs "Error: Connection Error" (System.Net.WebException - Timedout) when viewing the synchronization history page.

• CPU : 6 v-cores of Xeon E-2278G
• RAM:32GB
• WsusPool setting is adjusted : Queue Length - 5000, Start Mode - Always Running, (CPU) Limit Interval - 10mins, Shutdown time limit - 180secs, Startup time limit - 180secs, private memory - 16000000 KB
• WSUS Site is adjusted : connection time out - 600secs
• WID's min server memory is set to 2048MB.
• Running wsusdbmaintenance-sql is completed many times.

Do you have any idea to success viewing this page?

I wonder why is only the reference sync history so heavy?

Empty the tbEventInstance table.

As you can see, WSUS Maintenance doesn't just include the SQL script and the Server Cleanup Wizard (SCW). There's more to it.

Dear Adam,

Thank you very much for your advice.
I now set up WSUS service as reduced the choice of update classifications.
After attemption SUSDB.dbo.tbEventInstance table truncation, I'll report about this effects.
