Logging on to a different account than default

I have an Azure portal account with a number of services and have Global Administrator rights. I have assigned a colleague to also have Global Administrator rights into this account. To check, when I look in Default Directory | Roles and administrators under Global Administrator Assignments I see both of us ... the only difference is that I have a type "User" and he has a type "Guest" (but I assume this is normal).

My colleague now tried to log in to my account, but how? When he logs in to portal.azure.com he is in his default account. How does he switch not my account?

When he logs in:

  • clicking on "switch directory" there are no options.
  • clicking on Azure Active Directory and "switch tenant" there are no options.

I have clicked on many many options but can't find what he needs to do.

How does he sign into my account with his username password?

Thanks
Rod

    Hello @Rod Hemphill ,

Guest users can see the directory under switch directory option only after they accept the invite. Could you please check if Invitation Accepted is "Yes" for the guest user by clicking on the user account in Azure AD? If it is "No", you can click on Resend Invitation button to get the Invitation URL and share that with the guest user to redeem the invite. This option is helpful if the invited user doesn't have a mailbox.

If Invitation Accepted is "Yes" and still the directory doesn't appear when you click on switch directory, try to sign-out from the portal, close the browser and sign-in again. If you still face the issue, try deleting the guest account and try to invite the user again just to make sure if the invitation is redeemed successfully.
