Not sure about the bricked issue but the simplest / quickest solution may be to clean install it.

Might not be the right place for this, but my Hyper-V was bricked(?) after running the Microsoft easy fix to fix an issue creating a virtual switch. Now it won't let me connect to my local PC after restarting my PC. It keeps coming back with the error: An error occurred while attempting to connect to server "MyPC Name". Check that the virtual Machine Management service is running and that you are authorized to connect to the server.
I have checked with Task Manager and I can't find that service running anymore. I have a project due two days ago that requires the use of Hyper-V and this is quite frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That fixed it. Thanks.
When I get frustrated I tend to overlook simple solutions, so I really appreciate your help.
