Migrating iOS application using older version of ADAL to MSAL

I am looking in to migration of mobile application using older version of ADAL (2.6) in to MSAL.
I would like to be able to use ADAL-retrieved refresh token so user is not forced to re-enter the credentials after migration. The iOS SDK though doesn't provide support for Confidential API (IByRefreshToken.AcquireTokenByRefreshToken). Is there any decent way in which I can make use of stored ADTokenCacheItem ?
