Knowledge-bases in QnA maker keep getting deleted

I have an azure subscription for work and I am working on a pilot project which involve several knowledge-bases. It already had happened a couple of times that all of my knowledge-bases were abruptly deleted and I couldn't find any of those knowledge-bases in my QnA maker portal. I recreated all of the knowledge-bases to work on the project and then after some time, they were gone again. Just today, it happened again, when my ChatBot started behaving abnormally, I checked the portal again and my knowledge-bases were gone again. Is there something that I am doing wrong or is this some kind abnormal behavior for the QnA maker. Thank you very much.

You mentioned you cannot view your QnA service from the list when creating a KB correct? If that's the case, you won't be able to view your KBs either. If you cannot view your QnA serivce under 'My Knowledge Bases' > tenant > subscription > services, it is possible that your QnA resource may have been deleted but that is not something we control, only customers can delete their resources. Please check with your admin to ensure their isn't any auto deletion rule set in place. I currently don't have access to view customer details as such, so I recommend contacting Azure Support to investigate further on why you cannot view your QnA resource and/or KBs. You can also try to review your activity logs to ensure nothing unusual occurred. Hope this helps.

I had a possibly similar issue where my project (including KBs) appeared to be deleted.

In my case, I opened the projects page in a different browser from what it was open in before (i.e. previously Chrome and then opened in Edge). I'm exceedingly glad to report that the project appeared again. No need to rebuild the project or lose work since last back-up.

Needless to say, I immediately backed up the KB files again. Hopefully, this info will help save someone else grey hairs and heartburn.

Another thought had occurred to me whilst trying to resolve this: had I logged in under a different user account? Specifically, I had to login again to MS to access this forum. It was shortly after this login that the project disappeared. The account was the same but the "initials" that show beside the login were now different (possibly from the email account used to login instead of my username initials). Again, hth!
